If you need heaven, go to Greece!
If you are in need of heaven, peace and tranquillity in your soul, it's about time you went to the captivating Greece.
Sea breeze, sound of waves, fine sand, smiling sun and endless blueness, that's quite enough for your soul to be reborn, isn't it?
Let the meditation begin!
We headed to the destination called Pefkochori which is located on the southeastern coast of the Kassandra Peninsula. This small magical place is a popular tourist attraction and there is a reason for it.
Marvellous beaches, crystal-clear seawater and musical nightlife are the beauties with which this place draws you to it.
While enjoying the beaches, your eyes will perceive the most wonderful sunrises and sunsets that will make your day even more colourful.
Undoubtedly, the most beautiful place for relaxing on both the beach and the water was in the place called Paliouri which is just 10 minutes from Pefkohori by car. The sand was so fine on both the beach and the water and there was no single stone, not even a small one.
In the evening you can take a walk by the seaside where there are a lot of cafes and restaurants with a sea view.
The most popular food in Greece which you must taste is Greek gyro with tzatziki sauce. Apart from that there is various seafood which you should definitely try and won't regret. Enjoy your dish in the fresh sea air and raise a toast to the beautiful life.
We also had a boat day adventure which was another exhilarating experience. The boat was stable and comfortable with the addition of beautiful music for the ears.
Apart from the beauties of the sea view with the sea wind blowing around you, the boat had the most adorable crew you will ever see. They were such gentlemen, always smiling and caring, I am speechless indeed.
The boat led us to the second prong of Halkidiki, the Sithonia Peninsula. To be more specific, we went to the place called Toroni which is another small place like Pefkohori where you can enjoy the turquoise sea water and taste the most beautiful iced chocolate drink.
Back on the road to home, we visited the second-largest city in Greece, Thessaloniki. It is located in the northern part of the country and abounds with a myriad of landmarks.
The most famous one is the White Tower. It is a fortress which is believed to have been built by the Ottomans in the late 15th century and served as a prison. It is located on the waterfront of Thessaloniki and offers panoramic views of the Aegean Sea for those who climb it.
You can also visit the church Hagia Sophia which is a significant religious building.
We also passed by the Aristotelous square which is located in the heart of the picturesque town. It is paved with marble tiles and surrounded by elegant neoclassical buildings that shine towards the sea.
For your best enjoyment, walk along the seaside and breathe the sea air while admiring the beauties that will absorb into your body and will definitely rejuvenate you!
