Perceive the beauty in the picturesque Novi Sad, Serbia

Serbia's second heart lies in its largest second town, Novi Sad. With the beautiful blue Danube being the blood circulating within the heart, this town is the most picturesque beauty in Serbia.

On the right bank of the Danube River stands the beautiful Petrovaradin Fortress. Having no end of tunnels as well as underground passages, this fortress is one of the main attractions in Novi Sad.

While on the fortress you can see the big “Drunk Clock“ or “Reversed Clock“. The inhabitants named it so because it changes depending on temperature. When the weather is cold it's a few minutes behind and when it's hot it's a few minutes ahead.

Another thing that makes this clock different is the size of its hands. The hour hand is longer, the minute one is shorter and it wasn't made with no purpose but for the Danube sailors to be able to see the time from a distance.

Speaking of architecture, Novi Sad is enveloped with typical Central European buildings, especially the city centre in which the 19th-century architecture is domineering.

You'll feel like you are in Prague but not in Serbia since the architecture in Belgrade and that in Novi Sad is completely contrasting.

When in Serbia, Novi Sad should definitely be on your list since the whole town abounds with indescribable energy that will fill your mind with unforgettable memories.
